The Sri Lanka Economic Forum is to be held under auspices of the Sri Lankan Prime Minister on 7 January 2015. Chief Guests at this event are George Soros and Prof. Joseph Stiglitz. The theme of the event is “steering Sri Lanka towards sustainable and inclusive development-PM Ranil Wickremasinghe’s agenda for development’. Do the people of Sri Lanka know who George Soros actually is?

George Soros & Open Society Foundation: Soros runs a global empire of NGOs promoting “human rights” “freedom” “democracy” & “transparency” to cover institutional crimes in collaboration with neo-conservatives of the US State Department-funded National Endowment for Democracy & subsidiaries.

ආණ්ඩුව කලින කියා සිටියේ නව ව්‍යවස්ථාදායක සභාවක් පිහිටුවීම සඳහා සමස්ත පාර්ලිමේන්තුව ම ව්‍යවස්ථාදායක සභාවක් බවට පත්කරන බව ය. ඒ ව්‍යවස්ථා විරෝධී බව අපි පසුගිය 30 වැනි දා රිවිර පත්‍රයෙන් පෙන්වා 

දුන්නෙමු. ඒ අතර ආණ්ඩුවේ පිරිසක් තම මතය වෙනස්කරගෙන ඇති බව පෙනෙයි. ජනවාරි 9 වැනි දා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ විවාද කිරීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන බව කියන යෝජනාවෙන් කියැවෙන්නේ ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ 75 

වැනි වගන්තිය අනුව නව ව්‍යවස්ථාවක් සම්පාදනය කිරීම සඳහා විසිඑක්නෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත ව්‍යවස්ථාදායක සභාවක් පිහිටුවන බව ය. මේ අතර ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා විශාරදයකු බව කියන රාජ්‍ය ඇමතිවරයකු ද නොවූ මන්ත්‍රිවරයකු 

කියන්නේ ව්‍යවස්ථාව සංශෝධනය කරනු විනා නව ව්‍යවස්ථාවක් සම්පාදනය නොකරන බව ය. ඒ අතර ඔහු මුළු පාර්ලිමේන්තුව ම කාරක සභාවක් කිරීමක් ගැන ද කතාකරයි. එයට අමතරව ආණ්ඩුව මහජන මතය විමසීම සඳහා යැයි 

කියමින් තවත් කමිටුවක් ද පත්කර ඇත. මේ දෙක ම ඇස්බැන්දුන් ය. එය කිසිසේත්ම ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථාවට අනුකුල නො වේ. 75 වැනි වගන්තියේ එලෙස කමිටු පිහිටුවීමක් ගැන සඳහන් නො වේ. ආණ්ඩුව ඊනියා ජනමතය විමසීමට 

තම හෙංචයියලාගෙන් සමන්විත කමිටුවක් පත්කරන්නේ ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ කිනම් වගන්තියක් යටතේ ද? 

The mainstream Churches of all denominations aligned themselves with the LTTE in varying degrees of connectivity. In particular, the clergy in the Tamil-dominated Churches threw their full weight behind the Velupillai Prabhakaran’s one-man regime. At the grass root level as well as the international level Prabhakaran could not have dominated the Tamil constituency and got away with his brutalities without the blessings of the Churches. The Churchmen, some of them drawn from the Churches in the Western world, including Australia, became the most formidable shield that gave him cover – not to mention a legendary status — even after he was banned as a ruthless terrorist. Some of the Churchmen, in fact, were falling over each other to propitiate Velupillai Prabhakaran – the mass killer of his political rivals and Tamil dissidents. Lending an ecclesiastical, if not a theological, hand to maintain his fascist regime was the accepted norm of the time.
