SAPUMAL PROJECT TO HELP DISABLED SOLDIERS
Sapumal project was dedicated to the heroic soldiers who were killed in Mullative due to an act of treachery by a Tamil army officer with Tiger affilaitions.
A sum of A$ 41,000 was collected within a period of 3 weeks with the help of hundreds of volunteers. The funds were remitted to the National Defence Fund in November 1996. Ranaviru garment factory in Nittambuwa for the disabled soldiers is being constructed with Sapumal funds.
