Soon Tigers will be given all their demands including their so called Homeland. Next "Eelam" will become a reality within weeks, if not days. Then "Great Eelam" encompassing all of Sri Lanka will be created. The Sinhalayas will become extinct: murdered or converted into low caste Tamils, by force and by rape (remember, that's how the "lowcaste" Harijans in Jaffna were created out of Sinhalayas who could not flee Jaffna a few hundred years ago). We are extremely "unfortunate" that we can witness all this in the miserable short lifespan of ours. Our only doubt is whether we will see the day "Greater Eelam" encompassing Tamil Nadu and the other South Indian States is created. Hope we all can rest in peace, having done all we could and having sacrificed whatever we had to save your motherland. If not, all those heroes who laid their lives for your country and all those innocents who were massacred like fleas by the terrorists shall haunt you in your sleep until eternity.
India sticks to demand for Prabhakaran's extradition - India on Friday stuck to its demand for extradition of LTTE supremo V Prabhakaran as it extended full support to the peace process and negotiated settlement to end the ethnic conflict in the island nation. Visiting External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha told reporters after meeting Sri Lankan leaders that there was no contradiction between backing the peace process and persisting with its demand for the extradition of Prabhakaran. "There is no contradiction. We have our laws to observe and there's a peace process here," he said. Asked if he had once again raised the extradition issue, he said: "Our position has been clearly stated from time to time." (Read Full report in Hindustan Times : 13 July 2002).
India firm on demand for extradition of Prabakaran, says Sinha
- There is "no contradiction'' in India's demand for extradition of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) chief, V. Prabakaran, and its support for the Sri Lankan peace process, the External Affairs Minister, Yashwant
Sinha - India had sought the
extradition of Mr. Prabakaran, Pottu Amman, LTTE's intelligence chief and Akila, deputy chief of the LTTE's women's
intelligence wing, to stand trial in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs forwarded the request to the Defence Ministry, which was sent to the Attorney General of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan position was that they could not apprehend the rebel chief. Mr. Sinha saw "no reason to be disappointed'' at the delays in the peace talks and counselled "patience'' to all the parties involved in the Norwegian-facilitated peace process. "Despite difficulties, the agreement, by and large, is operational,'' he said.
