Soosai
fiasco: Norway and Acolytes, apologise to the
people of Sri Lanka!!!
President
Chandrika Kumaratunga has told the Norwegian Foreign Minister, the Deputy
Foreign Minister, Solheim the special advisor, and their Ambassador in Sri
Lanka, that the Sea Tiger leader of the Tamil Tigers, Thiliyampalam Sivenesan
or Soosai travelled from Vanni via Colombo airport to Singpore for an unknown
purpose using VVIP facilities provided by the Government of Sri Lanka.
Unfortunately the present Government has chosen to follow in the footsteps of the traitorous Ranil Wickramasinghe government by bending over backwards to accommodate Norwegian dicta and Tamil Tiger demands at the expense of the people and have chosen to be a willing victim of the treachery hatched by the terrorists and their facilitators. The Defence Minister, the Peace Secretariat and others readily joined in to provide VVIP facilities to Soosai to fly to Singapore on humanitarian grounds as stipulated by the Norwegian grand daddies.
The Tamil Tigers’ request was apparently studied and recommended by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry officials and the special advisor, Solheim and presented to Sri Lanka for processing. The Sri Lankan Peace Secretariat and the authorities at the service of the three-in-one saviour -mediator, facilitator, monitor - wasted no time by not only issuing a bona fide passport overnight, but also placed a helicopter at the disposal of Soosai and his body guards. They even went further by arranging VVIP tarmac transfers and requesting Singapore to receive this terrorist who is directly responsible for killing hundreds of Sri Lankan civilians, Navy and other defence personnel, blowing up commercial ships apart from causing damages running into millions of rupees to the country's infra-structure.
Now that the President herself has found out that the trip was not to get medical treatment and definitely not on humanitarian grounds, it is reasonable to assume that this trip too was to further the Tamil Tiger Terrorist objectives. It is reported that on many of the visits to foreign countries after the CFA agreement was signed, the Tamil Tiger representatives met international arms dealers and canvassed opinions of foreign politicians, met with NGOs in various countries to stop aid to Sri Lanka etc. Based on past experience, Soosai's travel is yet another act of Harakiri committed by the Government of Sri Lanka acting on the wrong advice of Norway.
SPUR cautioned the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Singapore to be careful as soon as the news of Soosai's planned visit was known. Soosai is one of the most loathsome murderers and it is beyond belief that Singapore was ready to accept him even on 'humanitarian grounds' when he and his organization has and still is continually violating human rights. However, Norwegian dicta prevailed!
Sri Lankan government's acquiescence to strengthen the LTTE and Norway's treachery against the Sri Lankan nation are incentives to the killing spree of the LTTE. It is indeed ironical that while defence force members in forward defence locations and army informants are compelled to tighten their belts and become the prey of the LTTE pistol gangs, the helicopters and other facilities are placed at the disposal of the terrorists.
Now
that it is confirmed by the Executive Head of Sri Lanka that Soosai visited
Singapore for an 'unknown reason' and took the Sri Lankan nation for a ride,
Norway and her salmon eating Foreign Policy officials owe an unqualified
apology to the people of Sri Lanka.
We again appeal to the UFPA Government not to be a party to violate the Security Council resolutions on terrorism!
