Rally to protect the elected Government in Sri Lanka

Bribes come in all sorts of guises. Money is only one of them. Instead of beating about the bush, the LTTE have got straight to the point. Through their political benefactor, Ranil Wickramasinghe. the Tigers have approached some members of the UNP whom they thought can be lured by blood soaked Tiger funds . This is where they made the mistake. (We find that there are still a few patriotic people left in the UNP too) That is why Minister Karu Jayasuriya told parliament what had transpired and how bribes of Rs.110 million each. were offered to two UNP(Democratic group) ministers to join the ranks of the opposition. He categorically stated that his group would never betray the nation and was intent in supporting the government which had taken meaningful steps to eradicate terrorism from Sri Lanka.

Charles Gnanakone is the person who has offered these bribes in the hope of ultimately toppling the Mahinda Rajapaksa government and paving the way for Ranil -LTTE combined operation to create a Tigerland in the North. . This is the same treacherous person who assured our Foreign Minister, Lakshman Kadirgamar that as long as he held the Foreign portfolio, he would not be harmed by the LTTE - and then gave the red light to the Tigers to assassinate him. Gnanakone's dubious business history and his work behind the scene to help the LTTE-Ranil unholy alliance are factors which confirm the truth of Mr Jayasuriya's statement in the Parliament.

It is not surprising that LTTE its many parasites are continuing to destabilize Sri Lanka with the backing of some politicians including misguided international figures, INGOs, NGOs et cetera One wonders what type of bribe or appeasement has ignited their passions to support these terrorists. What really happens when they go for 'discussions' to Tiger Terroristan? People who have escaped from this hell-hole tell stories of exotic entertainment with drums beating and virgins dancing. Are they Wined, Dined and 69 ed? Are these also the same people in the Vanguard of 'the international fight against Terrorism' The Bible says that Pleasures of the Flesh are hard to resist and the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for this reason

Are the North and the East, Sodom and Gomorrah? Escapees say they are.

The need of the hour is for all people and political parties to unite against LTTE terrorism and their separatist agenda and strengthen the elected government's attempts to eradicate this Resident Evil. In various parts of the world , the international community is said to be committed to strengthen and support elected Governments for the good of the people. In Sri Lanka, the international community should recognize this factor and help the elected Government of Sri Lanka to defeat the LTTE terrorists as quickly as possible, if the welfare of the people and elected Government, are considered to be paramount, as advocated by them.

Let us all rally together to bring a New Dawn to the long-suffering brethren living in this part of our country. With criminals like LTTE's Gnanakone supported by Ranil who plot and plan to prolong the conflict, economic and social progress will not advance at the pace it normally should. The appeasement of the LTTE- their crimes, their plots, their fund collections, their fronts in the West- is indeed a crime against the people in Sri Lanka.
