Government Escorts Terrorists Daya Master to Colombo

Sociey for Peace, Unity and Human Rights for Sri Lanka (SPUR Inc) strongly condemns the action taken by the Government to get Daya Master the LTTE terrorist and the criminal who planned the deaths of thousands of defense personnel and unarmed innocent civilians, to Colombo for urgent medical treatment. The fact that Daya Master had to seek medical treatment in Colombo show that the LTTE terrorists too want to live long as possible and they do not want to face an untimely death like their claymore mine and suicide bomb victims. Will he yet realizes the value of a human life in his death bed? Would the government provide similar transport facilities to an ordinary Tamil/ Sinhalese or a Muslim civilian suffering from similar heart condition, currently living in N & E on humanitarian grounds? Our own service personnel who fight for the territorial integrity of the country do not get this VIP treatment. Then, why  special treatment for Daya Master who is a known criminal and a terrorist?

It was few years ago that former President Chandrika acted in the same manner to send Anton Balasingham to Norway for urgent medical treatment when India bluntly refused to accept him for treatment. He now gives orders from UK along with Prabhakaran to massacre innocent civilians in Sri Lanka. Daya Master once recovered will act the same way.

SPUR  requests the Government who have let down the law abiding citizens of Sri Lanka through this act of folly to keep Daya Master under arrest after the medical treatment and insist the LTTE to release following , if they need Daya Master back;

(1) All  security personnel including the Police Officer under their illegal custody;

(2) All members of PLOTE and EPDP under their illegal custody;

(3) 1,358  innocent Tamil children recruited as child soldiers.

If the Government, the Norwegians and the do gooders in the NGO front cannot get the LTTE to realize the value of human lives, the Sri Lankans have only to blame themselves by being suckers to LTTE terrorism over and over.  The Government should take the full responsibility of any future killings of innocent civilians in the North and East masterminded by Daya master in the event of his recovery and goes back to Wanni to continue with their killing machine.

Appeasing the Terrorists to the Point of Self Immolation

SPUR, NSW deplores in no uncertain terms, the act to provide protection and facilities to key terrorist Daya Master to seek medical treatment in Colombo by the President of Sri Lanka. Rather than allowing contact with the President elected by the people of Sri Lanka , the proverbial cyanide pill should have been recommended to Daya Master, which he would normally force down on his child soldiers in similar circumstances.

This recent act of appeasement is most harmful due to the confusion it inflicts on the national psyche, and the additional mortgage impost on our own sovereignty. At each of these stages the grovelling process, the patient becomes weaker and weaker. Sri Lanka ’s leaders have bent backwards to appease the terrorists, in the past years. This particular act of compassion takes the cake, at a time when innocent sons and daughters of Lanka are being brutalised at every turn, by the LTTE terrorists themselves. In return for this act of compassion the terrorists rewarded Sri Lanka with the killing two valiant soldiers, and also planted Claymore bombs for the Government Spokesman and Senior Minister Keheliye Rambukwelle.

Considering the illustrious sovereign history of Lanka, the periods leaders remain in power is relatively short. At each stage of these appeasement stages, as a nation, we add one more grievous injury the nation’s wounds, and the fatal bleeding resumes. What we see today is the enemy’s strategy of psychological warfare, willingly adopted by a government for its own self-immolation. The Tamil Tiger terrorists are well known not only to our nation, but the world over as the most brutal. Daya Master is one of the key persons operating this brutal piece of machinery, killing and maiming innocents at every turn.

The confusion caused by our nation’s camaraderie with the terrorist partner, has now gathered momentum. To some, the enemy need to be an equal warrior before being put down. First, give the terrorists equal status to a government elected democratically, and in turn, receive only abuse and no negotiations, send them round the world at the level of diplomats, allow the sacrifice of the freedom of the resident Tamils, Muslims in the North and the East, allow the Sinhalese to be systematically and ethnically cleansed, give helicopter joyrides, allow two airfields, allow weapons and airplanes to be imported, allow wireless and TV transmissions, allow the collection of taxes, outsource the running of government machinery in the North and the East to the terrorists, allow the decimation of our nations intelligence and defence personnel. The list is almost endless.

The worst had been the management incompetence at the highest level to lose military weapons, by the debacles of Mullativu, Kilinochchi and Elephant Pass.

Since the ceasefire agreement, our sovereign nation has been getting ready to surgically cut its own self up. If the earlier conflict years killed and maimed the dedicated sons of the nation, the ceasefire agreement will ensure the confusion of the national psyche, and the doom of the nation itself.

We strongly appeal to the Nation’s leaders to cut down the rhetoric and the show, and to get down to business of safeguarding the very existence of the Nation.

VIP treatments by the Government of Sri Lanka to the terrorist leader who was / is / will be distributing lies worldwide to damage the good name of the Government of Sri Lanka and who planned the deaths of thousands of defence personnel and unarmed civilians.

 LTTE killed 12 soldiers and captured one soldier on 14 July 2006, showing their ‘gratitude" to VIP medical treatments given to Daya Master by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Heart treatments for the heartless Terrorist, Valayudan Dayanidi, better known as Daya Master.

Minutes after President Mahinda Rajapaksa agreed on humanitarian grounds to allow LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorist's spokesman, Valayudan Dayanidi, better known as Daya Master, to come to Colombo for urgent medical treatment, the LTTE, showing their ‘gratitude, killed a soldier, another guardian of the nation, and planted two claymore mines to assassinate Government spokesman and senior minister Keheliya Rambukwella.

Sri Lankan armed security personnel guard the hospital in Colombo where a spokesman for Tamil Tigers, who suffered a heart attack on Wednesday in the northern rebel-held town of Kilinochchi, was admitted yesterday. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) media co-ordinator Velayudam Dayanidi, better known as Daya Master, suffered a cardiac attack and was being rushed to Colombo for heart surgery, the government's defence spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella said.

The National Movement against Terrorism (NMAT) held a protest opposite a hospital in Colombo against the government providing security to LTTE Kilinochchi spokesman Daya Master to come to Colombo for medical treatment after a heart attack (See details and more photos in NMAT).

President’s humanity and Prabhakaran’s brutality

What the government of Sri Lanka has done is to help a leading terrorist Valayudan Dayanidi, better known as Daya Master, continue with his terrorist crimes. If those who are responsible for the Daya Master episode are not exposed, the government of Sri Lanka should take responsibility for all future crimes committed by the LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists.

NMAT at Apollo: Arrest Daya Master

An NMAT protestor appears to be delivering a strong message to a riot police officer by a simple look at yesterday’s agitation campaign opposite the Apollo hospital. The protestors were opposing the government decision to offer medical assistance to LTTE spokesman Daya Master and were also pushing for his arrest

Daya Master should have been arrested and charged with organised crime, genocide, terrorism and terrorism conspiracy considering the lives of security personnel and innocents in threatened villages in the North and East.

Sri Lanka Government should ask Daya Master, the whereabouts of LTTE Leader Prabhakaran, to arrest him as per the NTERPOL warrant (see details of the INTERPOL warrant)

Arrest Daya master immediately – NMAT complaint to the Police - Last night members of the NMAT made a complaint to the Police head quarters at about 2100 hours local time to arrest LTTE spokesperson Daya master, who is taking treatment at the Apollo hospital .

NMAT at Apollo: Arrest Daya Master - The National Movement Against Terrorism yesterday staged an agitation campaign opposite the Apollo hospital in Colombo protesting against the government’s decision to offer medical assistance to LTTE media spokesman Daya Master. Holding placards and shouting slogans, the protestors numbering around 60, also demanded his immediate arrest adding that by offering medical assistance to a terrorist the government would have to take the responsibility of future LTTE claymore mines targeting the security forces. “Terrorists have no democracy. Why are we helping a terrorist when we wouldn’t do the same to an underworld gangster,” a spokesman for the NMAT said. The government offered medical assistance to Daya Master, who suffered a heart ailment, on humanitarian grounds after his family made a request on Wednesday. Apollo hospital officials said the rebel spokesman was receiving medical attention and his condition was stable. The NMAT charged the LTTE killed a soldier at Muhamalai minutes after Daya Master crossed into government territory in Omanthai on his way to Colombo in a military vehicle escorted by the SLMM. “Is this the response the LTTE gives for humanitarian assistance,” a protestor asked adding that they would stage more protests within the next few days until Daya Master is removed from the Colombo private hospital.

Arrest Daya master immediately – A protest outside of Apollo hospital - A mass protests demanding government to take Daya master into custody was held at Narahenpita this morning. Members of National Movement Against Terrorism rallied in front of Apollo hospital forced the government of Sri Lanka that Daya master is a terrorist and he should be in the prison. "He should be in the prison. If he is having any health problem it can be treated at the prison hospital. Any citizen of the country has a right as well as a responsibility to give information about a terrorist. We make a Police entry yesterday. Now do your job," a spokesperson for NMAT said. While asking Police to arrest the LTTE spokesperson they pointed out that an Inspector of Police is still in the custody of the LTTE. As well they mentioned that as a leader of LTTE Daya master knows where the Prabakaran is. The Police have a court order to arrest V. Prabakaran, the terrorist leader. At the same time they condemn the stance of the president Mahinda Rajapaksha on this issue by asking "is it Mahinda Chinthanaya to protect terrorist and provide health facilities even when they kill innocent civilians".
