Will the MOU, signed by the government with the Tamil terrorists to hand over nearly one-third of the Island to create a SECOND Tamil country, bring peace to Sri Lanka? |
1. No other country in the world conducts dealings with terrorists - because giving in to terrorists recognises that they are more powerful than the government, which will mean that whatever further demands they make will also have to be granted. British prime minister Mrs Margaret Thatcher stated that ‘We will never have dealings with terrorists’. US president RonaldReagan stated that ‘Terrorists can run but they cannot hide. We will find them anywhere in the world’. US president George Bush Jr has gone half-way across the world to attack and destroy terrorists.
2. During the past nineteen years the Sri Lankan government has claimed that it was unable to defeat the Tamil terrorists. By giving in - because of the terrorists’ genocidal massacres of more than 65,000 people - to the terrorists’ demand under duress for nearly one -third of the Island as a separate Tamil terrorist country, the government would be saying that the terrorists are more powerful than the government So, after the terrorists are given (as the government is trying to do) nearly one-third of the country as a separate state, if the then-further-strengthened terrorists then demand that they want a further half, or even the ENTIRE Island, then the government will, according to its own logic, be even less able to refuse. So, what will the Sinhelas do THEN? Take to boats as refugees?
