Manikyawaduge Mayura Kumara (27), Three-wheeler driver in Trincomalee, was shot and injured by LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists

One person was shot and injured by an unidentified gunman of the LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists, on 25 December 2005 around 11.30 a.m., while he was travelling in his three-wheeler (EPJA 1837) in the general area of LINGANAGAR, TRINCOMALEE. The injured person, MANIKYAWADUGE MAYURA KUMARA (27), was admitted to the TRINCOMALEE general hospital for treatment. 

Later, Army and Air Force troops with the assistance of the Police have cordoned the area and conducted a search. The TRINCOMALEE Police are conducting further investigations.
