Two Muslim civilians shot dead and another injured by LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists

 

An unidentified LTTE Tamil Tiger gunman who came on a motorcycle has fired upon two civilians killing one of them and injuring the other on 24 December 2005 around 8.40 p.m. The deceased, THAMBILEBBE ABDUL MANAP (35), and the injured, S.G.T DUDAR ATHIF (38), an ex-Policeman, were traveling on their push bicycle when the gunman, suspected to be a Tamil Tiger, opened fire at them using a T-56 weapon. The injured person was admitted to the general hospital BATTICALOA. The ERAVUR Police are conducting further investigations. 

 

In another incident in the general area of KUDAPOKUNA in POLNNARUWA, a suspected Tamil Tiger has shot and killed one Muslim civilian on 25 December 2005 around 10.15 p.m. The deceased, A.H. SHAIBU (45) of No 335, KUDAPOKUNA, WELIKANDA, was watching T.V. when he was gunned down by the suspected LTTE cadre. 

 

On 23 December 2005 two unidentified Tamil Tigers clad in camouflage T - shirts who entered the residence of a Muslim businessman in the general area of POLONNARUWA have taken away his motorbike forcibly. Those Tamil Tigers have told the owner A. KALDEEN of EENA RICE MILL, MAJEEKPOOR, GALLELLA in POLONNARUWA, that the motorbike would be returned the following day. However, the bike has not yet been returned. The POLONNARUWA Police are conducting investigations.
