The LTTE is a ruthless terrorist outfit fighting for a mono ethnic separate state for Tamils in Sri Lanka since 1983. Lead by its psychopathic chief V. Prabhakaran, the outfit has slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent civilians during its three decades of terror campaign against Sri Lankan citizens. The LTTE has been engaged in a systematic and brutal ethnic cleansing campaign against Muslims and Sinhalese living in the North and Eastern Provinces in its fanatical attempt create an ethnically pure Tamil State in the Island nation.
The Sri Lanka government said that it condemns in the strongest possible terms the LTTE suicide bomb attack killing ten people and injuring scores of others including Mahinda Wijesekera , the telecommunication minister of Sri Lanka at a Muslim festival of Prophet Mohameds birthday at a procession of a mosque. The attack reaffirms the fact that the LTTE is not only a ruthless terrorist outfit but also one which has no regard or respect for religion. This is an attack that deliberately targeted the Muslim Community and one that has sought to sow ethnic and religious disharmony, the statement said.
1.4 million Muslims live in Sri Lanka representing 7.5 % of the islands19 million inhabitants. Islam is the nations third largest religion after Buddhism (over 13 million faithful, 69% of the population) and Hinduism (circa 9 million). This reminds us of the LTTEs massacre of more than 200 Muslims at worship in three Mosques at Kaththankudy and Eravur in the East, in August 1990, in its war of terrorism, the governments statement added. The statement further said, selecting of a Muslim shrine and a day sacred to Muslims, both in Sri Lanka and the world over, to carry out this attack, underscores the hatred the LTTE has towards the Muslim population of Sri Lanka, who have suffered considerably under its policies of ethnic cleansing both in the North and East of Sri Lanka. The following is the full text of the statement: The Government condemns in the strongest possible terms the LTTE suicide bomb attack on the Milad-un-Nabi Muslim Festival to mark the birthday of Holy Prophet Mohammed, at Godapitiya, Akuressa, Matara this morning around 10.a.m. in which 10 persons were killed and many others injured, including a Government minister. The Government notes with utmost contempt this wanton act of terrorism and observes that the attack bears the unmistakable signature of the LTTE. The attack reaffirms the fact that the LTTE is not only a ruthless terrorist outfit but also one which has no regard or respect for religion. This is an attack that deliberately targeted the Muslim Community and one that has sought to sow ethnic and religious disharmony. Selecting of a Muslim shrine and a day sacred to Muslims, both in Sri Lanka and the world over, to carry out this attack, underscores the hatred the LTTE has towards the Muslim population of Sri Lanka, who have suffered considerably under its policies of ethnic cleansing both in the North and East of Sri Lanka. This reminds us of the LTTEs massacre of more than 200 Muslims at worship in three Mosques at Kaththankudy and Eravur in the East, in August 1990, in its war of terrorism. The Government is of the view that this is another desperate act that the LTTE terrorists, now on their last legs, have perpetrated to divert the attention from the humanitarian mission of the Security Forces, to flush them out from their last remaining foothold in the Wanni. The Government remains unwaveringly committed to rid the country of the terrorist menace and bring about peace. This attack will only serve to strengthen the resolve of the Government and the security forces in this regard. The Government urges all citizens to remain calm and unprovoked, and support the Security Forces and Police by exercising utmost vigilance as the LTTE, facing imminent annihilation, could very well resort to other similar acts of desperation. The Government offers its condolences to the families of victims of this brutal attack and wishes speedy recovery of the injured. .

LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists in Sri Lanka has again made mother Lanka weep for her beloved children. A crime blended with terrorism and racism has been committed again by the LTTE terrorists in the eastern region of the country. All peace loving citizen of the country are deeply shocked and anguished over the large number of deaths of their fellow brethren in the East. Today (03 August 2006) is another sad day in the history of the country when the historical relationships that existed over thousands of years between the Tamil and the Muslim communities were blotched by a series of gory incidents. Today is thus one of those "shameful days" in the annals of our history when three schools in Muttur which have now been converted to refugee centers were bombarded with heavy Artillery fire. The intention of the LTTE very clearly was to cause the maximum damage to a hapless innocent Muslim community who were gathered in large numbers at these refugee centers. 16 years ago, on 3 August 1990, LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists, the so called "Saviors" of the Tamil community in the world, butchered 103 innocent Muslims whilst they were praying in the grand Mosque of Kattankudiy in Batticaloa. It is ironic that exactly after 16 years, the same terrorist group of people hiding behind the veil of "human rights" showed the extent to which they have now been civilized when they perpetrated yet another heinous crime on the 3rd of August 2006 at Muttur. This time they showed the world community their true spirit and nature; that they are nothing but absolute barbarians and megalomaniacs; and yet they brand themselves as "liberation fighters".
For a long time the LTTE is implementing an ethnic cleansing program in the country's North and the East. Akkaraipattu, Kalmunai, Samanthurae, Kaththankudy and Kalawanchikudy Muslims hoisted white flags , shut down business to mark the 16th anniversary. Police stopped a demonstration against the LTTE for security reasons, on Thursday the 03rd of August, in Kalmunai. Hello Mr Hakeem, Can you trust these LTTE Tamil Tiger Terrorists ? (see secret agreement). Few year ago, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauff Hakeem with LTTE Leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.

This was once again proved eighteen years ago when tiger terrorists cold-bloodedly butchered 147 Muslim devotees, praying in mosques in the pre-dominantly Muslim town of Kattankudy, Batticaloa in the East. The massacre at Kattankudy that shook the nation and drew worldwide condemnation was meticulously pre-planned and executed in secrecy by tiger terrorists who had disguised themselves as Muslim prayers and entered the Meera Jumma and Husseinia mosques when hundreds of devotees were attending Friday Isha prayers.

What is really happening
in Sri Lanka today is that a blood thirsty racist group led by
some misled Tamils called LTTE is terrorizing against the Government
of Sri Lanka and its people irrespective of their ethnicity with an
intention of carving out a separate state. There is no conflict as
such between Sinhalese and Tamil communities in Sri Lanka. In fact,
the majority of the Tamil community lives in peace and harmony among
the Sinhalese population through out the country apart from the
Northern part of Sri Lanka. The entire Sinhalese and the Muslims
population who lived in the Northern area for centuries were either
killed or chased away completely by the LTTE Tamil Tiger terrorists.
At the moment, not a single Sinhalese or Muslim is living in Jaffna,
but, many thousands of Tamils are living in Colombo in peace with
the other communities. Based on 2001 census, the Tamil population in
Colombo district is 12.1% (see
2001 census). So, who is discriminated ? Tamils or Sinhalese? Do
you need more evidence ?
